Onenote For Mac Format Page Print

In OneNote for Mac, you can insert the contents of any Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) file into your notes as a so-called ”printout” — referring to each of the pages in the file being converted to images that are sequentially inserted (or virtually printed) into your notes, similar to the way the pages might appear as sheets of paper coming out of an actual printer.

Do the following:

1. Click anywhere on the page where you want to insert a PDF file as a printout.

2. Click Insert > PDF Printout.

3. In the Choose a file to Insert dialog box, click the PDF file you want to print to OneNote, and then click Insert.

Tip: The pages of a PDF printout work just like any other pictures you’ve inserted into your notes. They can be can be resized, scaled, rotated, flipped, arranged and used as background pictures. Alternately, you can also insert other kinds of documents as file attachments in OneNote.

On OneNote for the web, you can export a page to PDF (portable data format), which you can then print later.

Note: You can't export an entire notebook or section to PDF. You can print only one page at a time.

Export to PDF using a web browser on Windows

1. From your web browser, go to the OneNote for the web page you want to export as a PDF.

2. Click or tap File > Print, and then click or tap Print again.

3. To export to PDF, in the Printer list, select Microsoft Print to PDF.

4. OneNote will save the PDF to your Documents folder.

5. Open the PDF file from your Documents folder to print it.

Export to PDF using a web browser on a Mac

1. From your web browser, go to the OneNote for the web page you want to export as a PDF.

2. On the File menu, click Export as PDF.

3. In the Export As box, type a file name and choose where you want to save the PDF.

4. Click Save.

5. Open the PDF file from your Documents folder to print it.

Note: When you save notes as a PDF file, you’re saving a static snapshot of those notes. Any changes to those notes that you later make in OneNote won’t get changed in the PDF file you created.

PDF files you create with OneNote can be viewed and printed on your Mac with the free Adobe Reader software.
